Kondinin Group Research Report: Elmers Haulmaster

Elmers 41t Haulmaster with New Holland T8.435 tractor.
Elmers Haulmaster is distributed in Australia by Waringa Distribution and offers 30t to 63t (39 to 81m3) chaser bins.
Options include a single axle with 900/60R32 tyres (30t only), transfer tracks which mount to a standard 10 bolt ag hub (30 or 36t), tandem axle with 8000/65R 30.5 rubber (30, 36 and 41t) or fixed 914mm x 4318mm tracks (46, 55 and 63t). All bins run on 3m wheel/track centres. A new dual arm suspension is available on the larger of the Haulmaster range which runs on VF 900/60R32 tyres.
Loading side height ranges from just over 3m for the 30t unit on a single axle or transfer tracks, up to 3.66m for the 63t on fixed tracks although within each rolling stock configuration, these heights vary with the 46t fixed track loading height at just 3.17m.
Dual arm suspension is a relatively new feature on the Haulmaster range and was fitted to an inspected 55t machine in Yuna, Western Australia during the 2024 harvest.
Large inspection windows are fitted to the front and rear of the bin with work and safety lights fitted as standard.

Suspension and Steering
The suspension allows the larger rim and tyre combination to be used without elevating the chaser as would be required with a convetional single or tandem axle configuration. It does mean that wheel arches on these models protrude into the bin but despite this, there was no grain hang points evident when unloading.
The suspension arms mount to the main chassis which is a heavily built and complex two-piece profile with an angled top fold to align with the angle of the bin walls.
Despite the sturdy fixed chassis mount, hydraulic rams mounted to the dual arm geometry turns the wheels in or out to provide a steering function and manoeuvrability. Four-wheel steering is automatically locked out at speed. Hydraulic brakes are an option and the unit has a cushioned hitch.
Grain Handling
The 30, 36 and 41t bins have 560mm discharge augers while 46, 55 and 63t chasers are fitted with a 610mm auger capable of shifting 18t per minute. Observations in the field by Kondinin Group Research staff verified this claim. Pivoting spouts with range of control to the 560mm floor auger is via hydraulically-actuated gates.
Scales are an option and can be accessed via Haulmaster Pro which also utilises a joystick for bin control and auger functions. Haulmaster Connect or Agrimatics Libra system can also be optionally used and connected wirelessly or by Bluetooth using a tablet or phone as the user interface.
Service points are easily accessed and the bins are well labelled with a prominent discharge gate position indicator. A steering angle gauge can also be easily seen from the cab.
The roll tarp is easy to use and stows neatly while cleanout is simple with a full-length cleanout door actuated using a machine-mounted tool from the rear of the bin.
A bin-side-mounted large digital scale readout is optionally available, harvester operators finding this a handy feature.
