What you'll be doing:

Branch Administrator

Branch Administrator

The McIntosh Group has an opportunity for a commercially astute, down to earth Branch Administrator to join the team. This role will provide accurate and timely administrative and financial information to aid decision making in order to manage the business’ cash flow and ensure compliance is maintained.

This is a broad role that is responsible for all aspects of the financial management for our McIntosh & Son and Purcher International dealerships in Geraldton which includes, but is not limited to admin support, AR, AP, payroll and debtor management through to end of month reporting and processes, cashflow management, budgeting, compliance and stakeholder management. The role will ensure that all support administration functions and processes spread across the branch are running seamlessly.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and make recommendations that optimise business processes and improve financial and other internal controls;
  • Advise on the financial implications of proposed strategies through modelling and analysis;
  • Processing AR, AP and payroll functions;
  • Managing reconciliation processes;
  • Overseeing sales administration process;
  • Work with the management team to review and address outstanding debtors;
  • Manage Floorplan finance including reconciliations, tracking curtailment and due dates and discounts;
  • Support planning/budgeting/forecasting processes with the management team (including variance reporting);
  • Prove relevant information for business budgeting processes;
  • Manage cashflow, providing reports and flagging issues with the General Manager;
  • Provide financial reports with accompanying analysis and commentary in line with agreed schedule as required;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements;
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Undertake regular risk reviews and audits;
  • Provide accurate and timely information to Group Administrator for any audit or tax related matters; and
  • Providing expert technical advice to the admin team members, developing the skills required to achieve company processes and objectives.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role for a company of similar scale and complexity
  • Ability to build relationships with geographically dispersed teams
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting capabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • A personal drive for growth and development
  • Well developed mentoring and leadership skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in machinery or similar sector would be ideal but is not essential

We are currently seeking a lecturer to join the McIntosh Training Academy team in delivering training to the McIntosh & Son apprentice group.

About the Role:

In this unique opportunity we are also open to accepting applications from suitable candidates, without lectur erexperience, but are experienced heavy duty diesel mechanics looking to get off the tools and have an impact on the next generation of technicians.

Training and support for you as you embark on this new step in your career will be provided by a passionate team of educators.

Your primary responsibility is to facilitate learning, assess and mentor students through the course of their apprenticeship in accordance with our training packages requirements, for Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with your fellow lecturers and McIntosh Training Academy Compliance Manager to develop curriculum and enhance our RTO business and ourtraining capability.

About You:

Lectures can be based anywhere in the WA state, but must be willing to travel to our Wongan Hills and Katanning training centers regularly for classes.

  • A recognised trade qualification relating to Agricultural Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • An ability to lead, develop and manage people.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills as well as the ability to inspire to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Agricultural dealership experience (desirable).

Precision Farming Specialist

We are searching for candidates with a keen interest in technology, preferably in the agricultural industry, for our growing Precision Farming product portfolio - including systems for guidance, mapping, and variable rate (VRT) control applications.

Based in Wongan Hills, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated, "hands on" individual who has a passion for agriculture technology evolution. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships for new and existing agricultural management systems and technology. The individual will also be responsible for making field calls to troubleshoot/repair systems, perform updates on software, and train customers and internal employees on the set up of new equipment.

Candidates should have technical experience in operation and support of precision farming products such as VRT, GPS, Telematics and working with new and developing technology such as desktop software for GPS and Data Management.

Within a proactive and progressive team environment, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent long-term customer relationships along with:

  • Self-motivated and "hands on" with a passion for agricultural technology
  • Technically experienced in the operation and support of Precision Farming products (ongoing training will be provided)

Your work will vary from being in the workshop - completing all fit outs of new and used Agricultural Machinery, prior to delivery - through to on-farm break down call outs and servicing.

You will need to:

  • Be trade qualified – Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic
  • Have sound hydraulics and electrical knowledge
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence

Working as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic/ Service Technician, you will join a team of service professionals who have a great sense of pride in delivering an exceptional standard of service to customers.
Your work will vary from being in the workshop - completing all fit outs of new and used agricultural machinery, prior to delivery - through to on-farm break down call outs and servicing.


Requirements:

  • Trade qualified
  • Basic computer skills
  • A valid driver’s licence
  • Exposure to agriculture machinery (preferred but not essential)
  • Exposure to hydraulics and electrical knowledge (preferred but not essential)

McIntosh & Son, Dalby is currently seeking a Machine Detailer/Trades Assistant to assist in our busy workshop on a permanent basis.

You will need to be able to operate independently, as well as part of a team, and have good communications skills. You will also need to be physically fit and willing and able to undertake manual work.

Responsibilities:

Working as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic/ Service Technician, you will join a team of service professionals who have a great sense of pride in delivering an exceptional standard of service to customers.
Your work will vary from being in the workshop - completing all fit outs of new and used agricultural machinery, prior to delivery - through to on-farm break down call outs and servicing.

What you'll be doing:

  • Machine detailing.
  • Yard maintenance.
  • Loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Machine touch up painting (experience desirable).
  • General cleaning duties / yard and workshop maintenance.
  • General trades assistance to our mechanics.
  • Adherence to high level of safety.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience within a Detailer or Trade Assistant role.
  • C Class Drivers licence.
  • Forklift licence (desirable).
  • A strong commitment to safety.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively unsupervised.
  • Positive attitude along with good work ethic.
