What is the difference between CASE and New Holland skid steer loaders?
Both brands cover a similar power range, from around 46 to 90hp, and are built by the same parent company, CNH, so they share a lot of engineering. CASE’s line-up splits into SR radial-lift and SV vertical-lift models, while New Holland’s L-Series uses one consistent design across the range. CASE also offers a greater range of operator comfort and technology options over New Holland. Our CASE skid steers are stocked through Perth (Redcliffe), while New Holland is available at Perth, Merredin and Dalby, QLD.
Which skid steer loader size do I need?
It depends on the job. Smaller models around 46 to 60hp with 590 to 840kg operating capacity suit landscaping, fencing and general property work. Mid-range models from 67 to 76hp handle general construction and material handling, and our largest models at 84 to 90hp with up to 1,545kg capacity are built for heavier earthmoving and commercial sites. What is the difference between a skid steer loader and a compact track loader?
Skid steer loaders run on wheels, while compact track loaders use rubber tracks. Wheeled skid steers are generally lighter, faster on hard surfaces and cheaper to maintain, making them a good fit for concrete, bitumen and general yard work. If you are mostly working on soft, wet or uneven ground, our compact track loader range is usually the better option.
