The McIntosh & Son site just before the Dowerin Machinery Field Days opened the gates for 2024 with 7 new releases on show.
The Dowerin Machinery Field Days held over the 28th and 29th of August were one of the most successful to date according to the McIntosh Group as they released 7 brand new machines to Western Australian growers.
Anthony Ryan, General Manager McIntosh & Son Northern branches, said that the site was bustling over both days with customers eager to explore the latest in farming equipment particularly the 7 new releases.
With product specialists for each brand on site to provide demonstrations, answer questions, McIntosh was able to showcase a full range of equipment from New Holland, Morris, Miller, Merlo, Grizzly, Gessner, Stoll, Bilberry, WeedSeeker 2, LiuGong, CASE Construction Equipment, iHSD, MacDon and MidWest.

"Beyond additional power and grain capacity, the key features that take the CR11 combines into a new league in terms of output, sample quality and loss minimisation include longer twin rotors, the new Twin-Clean cleaning system, a dynamic residue management system capable of spreading evenly over 60 feet and a much-streamlined drive system," Anthony Ryan said.
In addition to the CR11, New Holland displayed the recently released T9 SmartTrax, with an updated track system.
Also showcased was the new Morris 10-Series Air Cart with the 10-740 and 10-580 on display. Duncan Murdoch, National Morris Product Manager at McIntosh Distribution, said "in-line with previous tillage and seeding equipment releases from Morris, Australian fingerprints are all over the latest 10 Series air carts, catering to our conditions and preferred machine setups."
Duncan said one of the most exciting drawcards attracting growers in the 10 Series was the integrated stainless steel liquid tank and the use of load cells under every granular tank, which would take seeding rate accuracy and uniformity to a whole new level.
The newly released Morris 10-series attracted a crowd, as growers learnt about the new features.
The new LiuGong T-Series wheel loaders were popular on the stand, boasting a modern and robust frame structure, a new spacious cab with improved comfort, and a side-opening rear cover for easy servicing, Anthony Ryan said.

Hydraulically adjustable disc widths to suit various wheel track widths, and new Shark tooth rollers are aggressive on clods and size material for a smoother track, were all features growers were excited to talk about according to Skye.
Miller had their latest technology on display, with National Miller Product Manager at McIntosh Distribution, Peter Vella, saying interest in optical spray technology remains strong.
“Between Bilberry green-on-green cameras and WeedSeeker 2 brown-on-green sensors, growers are definitely keen to seek savings with spot spraying, and both systems are available on the Miller Nitro 7380 & 7420,” Peter said.
“It's been an awesome turnout and a successful two days,” said Anthony Ryan.
"The highlight has been the impressive display of the New Holland CR11 combine harvester and the Morris 10 series air carts, both drawing significant attention from farmers and industry professionals alike.”
